New Zealand will be examined by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women - at its 52nd session, 9-27 July 2012, in New York.

Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights

New Zealand was examined by a Pre-Sessional Working Group of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights - during the period 23-27 May 2011 in Geneva. This is in preparation for a full examination to be conducted by the CESCR at a future session.

Committee on the Rights of the Child

New Zealand was examined by the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child - at a 56th session, 17 January - 4 February 2011 in Geneva.

Human Rights Committee (civil and political rights)

New Zealand was examined by the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of civil and political rights as defined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights - at its 98th session, 8-26 March 2010 in New York.
