Mauritania will be examined by the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights - at its 49th session, 12-30 November 2012 in Geneva.
NGOs - including churches and related organizations - can submit written information in the form of a "parallel" report concerning the status of implementation of economic, social and cultural rights in Mauritania. NGOs should deliver 25 copies of their report and summary to the secretariat a week prior to the session for distribution to Committee members.
