Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
Estonia was examined by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights - at its 47th session, 14 November - 2 December 2011 in Geneva.
NGOs - including churches and related organizations - can submit written information in the form of a "parallel" report concerning the status of implementation of economic, social and cultural rights in Estonia. NGOs should deliver 25 copies of their report and summary to the secretariat a week prior to the session for distribution to Committee members. Where possible, it is useful to submit a summary of the report in all the working languages of the Committee. Human Rights Committee (civil and political rights)
Estonia was examined by a preliminary task force of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of civil and political rights as defined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights - at its 97th session, 26 October 2009 in Geneva. A full examination by the HRC took place at its 99th session, 12-30 July 2010 in Geneva.
