Human Rights Committee (civil and political rights)
The Dominican Republic was examined by the Country Report Task Forces of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of civil and political rights as defined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights - at its 101st sesssion, 11 March to 1 April 2011 in New York. This was in preparation for a full examination to be conducted by the HRC at a future session.
