Committee on the Rights of the Child

Colombia was examined by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child - at its 54th session, 24 May-11 June 2010 in Geneva, on issues related to the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and children in armed conflict.

Human Rights Committee (civil and political rights)

Colombia was examined by a preliminary task force of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of civil and political rights as defined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights - at its 97th session, 12-30 October 2009. (See List of Issues defined by the HRC.) A full examination by the HRC took place at its 99th session, 12-30 July 2010 in Geneva.

Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights

Colombia was examined by the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights - at its 44th session, 3-21 May 2010.

Colombia was examined by the UN Committee on Migrant Workers (CMW) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families - at its 10th session, 20 April - 1 May 2009.
