Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women

Central African Republic will be examined by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women - at its 53rd session, 1-19 October 2012, in New York.


Special Procedures

The Government of the Central African Republic has agreed to a visit by the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food, but the dates of this visit have not yet been fixed.

The Representative of the Secretary-General on the human rights of internally displaced persons visited the Central African Republic on 24 February - 3 March 2007.
