Bulgaria was examined by a Pre-Sessional Working Group of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) - which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights - during the period 5-9 December 2011 in Geneva. This is in preparation for a full examination to be conducted by the CESCR at a future session.
